Martha Stewart’s American Made

A grants program that invited readers to vote for 10 American artisans to receive $10,000 toward their businesses, every year. The program culminated in a summit in NYC that brought together the winners and fellow entrepreneurs.

Project

Provide American Made with a digital presence.

Process

  • Build new vertical that would serve as the go-to spot for practical business advice and entrepreneurial inspiration—from tips on how to find investors to real stories of how crafters turned their favorite hobbies into flourishing businesses.

  • Create 50 pieces of new content to populate the vertical.

  • Work with marketing to keep vertical fresh as voting began.

  • Move eCommerce site from eBay to Amazon.

  • Help manage run of show at the annual summit.

“Our annual event honors and highlights up and coming entrepreneurs who have demonstrated innovation, determination and creativity in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, design and style. These companies not only embody the American spirit, but inspire all of us to pursue our entrepreneurial dreams.”
